The Dung of a Jackass

The Rabbaim of this generation or not dreck, G-d forbid, as a letter writer to my previous post wrote. They are falling victim to a well-known medrash that Rav Ezriel Tauber quotes at the end of his book, Days Are Coming. They are staring through the dung of a jackass, and Moshiach is riding in the saddle. More on this later, G-d willing, before Shabbat.

G-d has willed that I continue this on Motzei Shabbat, but it is based on the following quote from the Talmud in Sanhedrin 98b:

Three great sages- Rabba, Ulla, and Rav Yochanan- said "Let him (Mashiach) come, but I do not want to have to live in that time." Rav Yosef said, "Let him come, and I will see him. And furthermore, let me be worthy to sit under the shadow of the dung of his donkey!"

As you can see, the biggest test right now is on the Torah scholars of our generation. The Torah scholars of previous generations did not think they would properly pass this excrutiating test. They did not want to be around to be tested with a test where the physicality of Creation could no longer be perfected.

The Hebrew word for donkey is Chamur. The word for materialism is Chomer. Both words are comprised of the same letters chet-vav-mem-resh. The main point to understand is that only Mashiach will be given mastery over the physicality of this world which can no longer be refined. The rest of us including the sages of this generation will be inundated with imperfectable chomer. There is an expression. "Where there is no flour there is no Torah." In this generation, it is best to be careful where the flour is coming from. Taking it could displace tens of thousands from their homes.

Tell it like it is Rabbi Yess. You are speaking for so many of us all around the world.

To Dov Bar Leib: could you explain why it is specifically the rabbis are falling victim to this disease?

First of all, I really enjoy reading this site.

Second of all, I pray that Rabbi Moshe Yess and R. Dov Bar-Leib iron out their differences. Since this rivalry has grown so strong, we need some Divine intervention to help these two gentlemen in their quest for truth.

Third, we dont know what tests or tribulations the Gedolim are facing right now. One rabbi told me "Rav Ovadiah's mind is faster than the speed of sound. Don't even try to understand him. The tzaddikim among themselves disagree - don't get in the middle of their argumaent unless you have the entire Gemara at your fingertips like they do."

Cheers!
Robert

PS. Dov, keep the good stuff coming!!!

According to significant mekubalim, Sharon was to be the last prime minister. Until today, Ehud Olmert has essentially been serving out the remainder of Sharon's premiership.

Tonight comes the fateful hour in which Olmert is set to become the new Prime Minister unless something prevents it.

Will the words of the mekubalim be proved right or wrong?

JPOST: Olmert cabinet, comprising 4 parties, to be sworn in today

"...At 8 p.m., after a factional debate, the Knesset will vote on the new government, Olmert and the other 24 ministers will be sworn in and make their way to Beit Hanassi for the traditional group photo."

Dear Rabbi Yess,
Thanks for your candid redirect to your posting who_is_a_rabbi...

(and, if I'm allowed a bit of humor..)

This reminds me of the following story...

"..The Rabbi of a shul goes to the shul president, and tells him... "I'm nothing".

The president looks at him and says.. "You're nothing?", (emphatically) "I AM NOTHING!!!"..

The Gabbai, who happened to overhear the dialog, looks at them, and says... "I am nothing...", at which point the Rabbi and the president look at each other, and say "LOOK *WHO* THIKS HE'S NOTHING!!!"

------------

As you know, to us (humans), both statements "the maggot was created before you" and "the world was created for your sake" apply.

(just something to keep in mind, for when coming out from underneath the carpet.)

Shabbat Shalom!

Rabbi Yess,

We are all less than dust, from a physical standpoint, and yet we are all precious to Hashem. I need you to help bring Moshiach, especially with your powerful appetite for truth!

Keep the healthy skepticism going strong, and yet keep yearning for Moshiach!

Cheers!
Robert

My understanding is that Sharon was the last Semi Sovereign Leader in Israel "The last of the Mohegan's".
In other words even though Sharon was weak and fell for the plans of the New World Order, perhaps he cared about Israel.

Olmert or Armulis is not representing Israel at all. He is the head of the Erev Rav. His soul likely stems from Bilam. He will do whatever he is told by Gog Bush, Coni Riech and the other leaders of Bais Lavan (the white house). His own children refused to serve on the Israeli Army, for Israel, unless you are Chareidy, this is the complete opposite of Patriotism and boarders on treason, they do not even live in Israel anymore, plus his daughter is an open Lesbian. Olmert could not care less about the Future of Israel as a Jewish State or for Jews anywhere. He cares about himself and his false prestige in the Gentile world only.

Perhaps he is one of the most dangerous enemies to the Jewish people. I don’t think the average Israel understands this yet. But when Olmert allows foreign troops into Israel to Divide Jerusalem, more people will see his true colors.
Then they can elect a real Jewish Leader someone like Moshe Feiglin, who will listen to the burning Bush not George W. Bush. The power to be redeemed is in our hands, we only have to vote for it. If you live in Chutz Laaretz sell your house while it’s still worth some money and buy one in Israel. If you are not ready for Aliya yet you can down size and rent for a while it’s good for the soul. At least your money and housing future will be safely invested in Israel. That’s what I did.

Can you give me the exact source of this prophesy.

What do they have to say about all the G-d fearing holy Jews in Chutz L"A who are still serving G-d with vigor and not running away vs. all the unholy and untsnius anti-Jewish Israelis? Are the anti-Jews better in G-d eyes b/c they are in Israel?

Find that one in prophesy for me too.

One "source" of the prophecy is the GR"A's take on the pshat of Yoel 3:5.

There it says in Tzion and in Yerushalayim there will be a refuge, and survivors that will arrive, implying that many will not make it out of Galut.

That is the GR"A's interpretation, not mine. That is one of the reasons he sent his students to lay the groundwork for what we have today.

I read today about the chief rabbinate in EY invalidating conversions and divorces performed by American (or was it Chutz Laaretz) rabbinim. The words dung, jackasses, and dreck came to mind, so I thought I'd inquire herein. What are we to think of this? Is there any validity? Is this about turning away proselytes?
Political power struggle?
