G-d Never Meant Geulah to Include a Magic Carpet Ride

There are two great evils in the Jewish world.  The most oft quoted one is the Erev Rav (the greater evening or the mixed multitude) (Exodus 12: 38).  They want to destroy our faith in HaKodesh Baruch Hu as the source of all of our blessings and our sufferings in the world in which we live (Olam HaZeh).  They historically have sought to focus the Jewish people on various avodah zarahs.  At the time of the Chashmonaim it was Greek Philosophy which got us nowhere since all the premises were wrong so that all the conclusions were also wrong.  My favorite one is that according to Aristotle, the Universe has existed forever.  I guess modern Cosmology has put a little damper on Aristotle's premise that the universe has existed forever.  Now with the rigorous test of the scientific method and lots of evidence we know that sometime in the distant past the universe came into existence in a burst of energy in which time, space, and matter came into existence at the same time.   I always loved that one.  How can we talk about an instant in time when the instant before that did not even exist?  I can picture cosmologists scurrying around trying to answer that one.  The Erev Rav changed throughout history to fit the circumstances as the world has changed.  In 1840 the Erev Rav came up with a real doozy.  Our new god would be the suffering Proletarian Man.  Such a person could never do any wrong.  He was truly a god.  And when class enemies were thrown into vats of acid to serve the new god in large enough numbers, it became evident that all those rich people were now dead.  So who was going to invest in new ideas?  and new horizons?  Well..no one.  All those interested in doing that were dead.  So strike two.  Finally after about 120 years of that the Erev Rav began to change again.  And now we have the final and last avodah zarah of the Erev Rav, Personal Popularity and World Public Opinion.  We could now become the proverbial dog, and turn around to see if everyone was following us.  That surely should determine good and evil in the world.  Never mind what was popular in one decade became very unpopular in the next decade.  So decade by decade, Truth and service to this god would change.  Good and evil would change and be redefined simply by taking a poll.  Ah, the Face of the Dog,  Billy (bark in Yiddish) Clinton was a master at changing his views to fit the polls.  And as America became darker and darker, the dog became meaner and meaner.  So now he has himself been replaced by his wife Hillary, a practicing witch.  And the 11th horn dude, Obamanation, does not even pretend to feel your pain.  Well actually he does, but he wants you to seek revenge, and he will help you get it...revenge.  A new very deep darkness has fallen on America, and 69% of American Jews are cheering him on and I guess are themselves seeking revenge?  Well it definitely helps them look good amongst the majority of Americans who apparently are seeking revenge!  So let's join in on the fun and we can be so popular by being loved by people who are seeking revenge!  Way to go 69%.  The world really loves you and appreciates you for helping them blame all the people that they hate.  When all of your friends booed G-d and Jerusalem as Israel's capital at the Democratic Convention, did you think by hating Israel along with them that they would love you too?  Ok enough with the Erev Rav for now.  They are too ridiculous to even worry about.

Yet, there is a another great danger and evil in the Jewish world.  Let us call it the Erev Ze'ir (The lesser mixture or the lesser evening).  It seems smaller than the Erev Rav and is definitely less populous than the Erev Rav.  For a description of the Erev Ze'ir see here:
http://www.chazonhatorah.org/the-time-of-our-simcha.htm   It is a counterweight on the side of evil for the Erev Rav, and is almost its complete opposite.  The Erev Ze'ir is not interested in being loved by the world at large.  They disdain popularity and the idea that Jews should "fit in".  So far so good.  They even serve G-d with the sincerity of Torah and mitzvot.  So far so good.  But they desire galut (exile) or The Midbar (the desert) and all of its trappings (basements as vessels to sock away gashmiyut) and the gashmiyut itself outside of the Land of Israel.  This is not good; as a matter of fact it should make you sick.

To be continued.  after editing by someone dear and concerned about American Jewry after Hurricane Sandy and the resultant re-election of Evil Incarnate, precisely because of the aforementioned hurricane.  And the Matter was and continues to be in the Hand of G-d.

Update:  Just to give one an idea on how the Erev Ze'ir responds to pleas to make Aliyah in order to save their lives and yes much of their property, read the comments section to the following post, a reasonable post by Ya'ak:

http://yeranenyaakov.blogspot.co.il/2012/11/rav-sorotzkin-rav-olshin-and-rav.html

Many questions should be answered there.  They really don't want to leave.  They want to rebuild Seagate and Far Rockaway and to wait for the magic carpet to sweep them up and bring them to Eretz Yisrael.  My last comment on this post on which I commented frequently is as follows:  It was actually a response to a reasonable point made by a commenter on this blog too.

Ya'akov Avinu went to Lavan's house for 20 years.  He then returned to Eretz Yisrael by...walking, at least through his own efforts.  G-d did not send him a magic carpet to bring him back with all of his belongings.  He managed to find a way to transport all the goods and flocks that he had acquired in Charan without the magic carpet.  It took him two years to get home. (That is another story.)  Now it might take 13 hours at most from anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere to mount up on the wings of an eagle to return with all of your belongings in tow (three suitcases for each member of your household with a free ticket on the El Al eagle plus three duty free lifts in the first three years of your Aliyah on the shipping line of your choice).

Come with your gashmiyut (I would suggest to bring some 220V major appliances too.) to where you belong.  But keep in mind, 99% of all homes here in EY are not built with basements.  Basements are a specially ordered thing to ask from a kablan for a price.  So keep that in mind when you pack your 40 foot trailer lift.  There is simply less room to sock away as much gashmiyut here in the Holy Land.

This is all really sad.  Hurricane Irene was really the last shot across the bow to LEAVE America.  It has been over a year since that hurricane, and then came Sandy.  It will not take another year for the hammer to come down.  The Great American galut is over.  finished.  dead and buried with the 11th horn dude standing on the grave smiling.  There are some things that I already know from Rav Lazer Brody, but I need his permission to share it with you.  When he gets back from Canada, we will talk.

There was a time long ago in the 1930s a Revisionist Zionist named Ze'ev Vladimir Jabotinsky.  He was not a Bolshevick or a Labor Zionist by any stretch of the imagination.  He himself was a secular Jew, but he was a man who loved all Jews.  He could cares less whether they were Shomer Shabbat or secular like himself.  In 1936 he sensed a great danger coming onto the Jews of all of Eastern Europe.  He went on a series of speaking tours to synagogues throughout Eastern Europe to convince Jews to leave for Eretz Yisrael before the British slammed the door shut.  He would go into the synagogue and say, "Er kumt" (He is coming!)  Get up and leave!  Yet, he was derided because he was not Shomer Shabbat.  And all the Gedolim of Europe said to stay put.  So no one left.  Now to be fair to the Jews of Eastern Europe, quotas to the Holy Land were already severely limited in 1936.  The British ba--ards were already closing the door.  And there really was no place to run.  Yet, today, the door to Eretz Yisrael is wide open.  There are no excuses to not leave right now.  And I am here to tell you that not only is he coming, HE HAS ALREADY ARRIVED!

You are convinced that people died in Nazi Europe because they did not leave or because they made the wrong decisions? You do not think they died because it was decreed for incomprehensible reasons, which not even Moshiach will fully comprehend, that each one of them had to die, and in such a manner. I was taught that all we know are two things: that they are together with the Aseret Harugei Malchut, in a place that no one else can even imagine; and that had even a single one of them somehow escaped their destiny, the world would have ceased existing. Not nuclear war -- -- not end of mankind - not even end of life, or end of earth - but tohu vavohu.

I was very careful to say Daniela that unlike now, the Jews of Europe did not have a place to go to. They were entrapped there by Divine decree. Because they could not leave Europe because the British were closing the gates to Eretz Yisrael as early as 1936, they all perished Al Kiddush HaShem. Today though, the Gates to Eretz Yisrael are wide open. The same excuse not to be here does not apply in this generation.

I have asked daat Torah and I assume everyone else does the same, whether they make aliyah or not. Having said that, if things go as you say, what is the problem? Everyone longs for Moshiach and everyone will rejoice in the case you are correct. Why do you want so intensely to destroy jewish life in the diaspora, and why does it make you so angry that there is a large part of the kehilla that thinks otherwise? If you are correct, Moshiach will no doubt appoint you to some important post, and everyone will respect you, including those you disparage.

What does it mean that Moshiach not be a physical appearance in 5766? That there is no consensus on the name of the current potential Moshiach of our generation, let alone on the fact that he is becoming the actual King Moshiach? Or did I misunderstand?

In 5766, the 2nd South Lebanon War which began on the 17th of Tamuz lead to the pummeling of Haifa with Hezbollah missiles for 30 days approximately. At that time TRMLO from Medrash Sefer Eliyahu had a plan called hitkansut (Let us all get together) to basically do a Disengagement (hitnatkut) on the rest of Judea and Samaria that his brain dead boss, Sharon the Shepherd (see the sidebar), had left unscathed. With the bombing of Haifa and to a lesser extent Tiveriya (because they already knew better in Tiveriya), Olmert (TRMLO) was forced to abandon not just his plan but all future plans of unilateral destructions of Jewish communities in existing and recognized communities in Judea and Samaria. Only unrecognized communities would still have an axe over their heads. This War basically stopped spreading the misery of Gaza to hundreds of thousands of Jews in Yesha and millions of Jews on the Coast in some cases about ten miles away or less from Yesha. This is how Mashiach appeared in the Galil in 5766. You can thank the enablers of the Disengagement in 5765 for delaying the Geulah one full Shmittah cycle, and Gog W. went happily back to ranch life in Crawford, Texas rather than being buried in the Valley of HamonGog by the end of his term in 5769, the first year of the next Shmittah cycle.

Yes, Mashiach is coming by no later than some time in 5776, the first year of the next Sabbatical (Shmittah) Cycle. Yet, he could come earlier. Yet, it says in the Holy Zohar that the nations of the world will try to drive all Jews from the world in 5773. Now of course they will fail here in Eretz Yisrael. They will be planning a massive Protection Force to come and protect Palestine and insure the "return" of 5 million refugees in The Great City of Rome, Maryland??? when the conference will be hit by a massive fire, hail, and meteorite shower (Zohar VaYeira 119a). So there is a time period gap. First of all how do Jews outside of EY survive an attempt to wipe them off the face of the earth in 5773 outside of Eretz Yisrael? Secondly after that, Ben David may show up right away or he may show up in 5776. There is no way of knowing for sure. This is all based on the very highly accurate and historically documented Zohar VaYeira in which all the signposts that were predicted have occurred. So the one for 5773 will likely occur too. See http://www.yearsofawe.blogspot.co.il/2012/11/two-distinct-roads-for-5773-until-5776.html for the full explanation.
It was written just before the election so that the road ahead is much clearer now. Romney is out of the picture from that post.

Maybe G-d will be compassionate and bring this in a kind way, but that was likely if Romney, the Romani, had been elected. G-d in His Infinite Wisdom took an active role in defeating Romney by sending Hurricane Sandy. So the 11th horn dude is with us. At least 41% of Americans voted for Obama because he looked so Presidential in the week, the one week, leading up to the election precisely because of Sandy. So it is foreboding that the Almighty wanted Obamanation to rule until the End. As it says in VaYishlach,"Now these are the kings who reigned in the Land of Edom...,before a king reigned over the Children of Israel." So the Hebrew says, "VaEilah Hamelachim Asher Malchu Be'eretz Edom" The Hebrew letters are Vav, Hey, Aleph, Mem, Bet, Aleph. Unjumble the letters and one gets, Aleph, Vav, Bet, Aleph, Mem, Hey. There is his name, OBAMA.

Daniella, those who escaped especially to E"Y while it was open were retried by the heavenly court as we learn in the Gemata Makkot since there is a more favorable din in E"Y. Manyo fo those wheo went to CL"E are even now lost to yiddishkeit.
It is not enough to yearn for the Geula, a yid also must yearn for Eretz Yisrael as all of our seder tefila and and even the pesach seder remind us "hashan haba byerushalim".
The intent is ideally to completely wipe out the diaspora by bringing the whole communities home intact.
Living in CL"E is like raising a family next to a germ warfare testing site, the rent may be cheap and even janitors are payed well but don't fool yourself, it is hazard pay.
A person should also know that daat torah is not like consulting a navi, rarely with the right leader they will have a special kabala but mostly they will tell it is mutar to stay if you say education, shidduch, or parnasa.
The geula is not the NY kids story that one day surprise everyone flies like superman to E"Y and the fancy house, cars, and schule will fly beside you while we have been in the trenches living a very satisfying but sometimes more challenging (especially fiscally) life.

Dov, I do not favour the expulsion of Jews from Eretz Israel, but you can not blame me that Sharon was elected. I never voted for Sharon. Would you like to know whom I vote for? No one. I have never found, among the candidates, anyone who was going to defend my interests. So I do not vote for anyone. Now, let me wonder, where was Sharon's electoral base located? Sharon, who heavily subsidized housing beyond the green line and who repeatedly promised he would never remove settlers from their homes, in fact, along his previous terms, he barely ever ordered unregulated outposts demolished? I doubt the haredim voted Sharon, and I also doubt the leftists did. And now you are angry at whom exactly?

We all look forward to Moshiach in 5776, if that is the case. As for Obama and the elections where whatever % supposedly voted for Obama, the USA is the one and only country that allows to vote without current photo identification. In fact, in so-called third-world countries, since it is easy to obtain forged documents, voters also get their fingers dyed, lest anyone votes twice. There have been Republican presidents and many of them also had Congress majority, and all of them found it impossible to vote a law requiring photo IDs for voting? Is that all Obama's fault? You can't expect him, nor demand from him, to promote what is against his interests. Was such a law in Romney's program? I did not notice it.

Anonymous are you insulting Daat Torah? As for Nevuah, no one has it, and no one will, until Eliyahu HaNavi shows up. Actually, the terrifying news come from handicapped people (chas ve shalom) and/or their caretakers, and not from Torah scholars. As for flying to EY and our stuff behind us, it is too bad you have no imagination. Do you think ordinary people could imagine the cellphone 200 years ago? The TV? And how do you deal with the fact that some volumes of the Temple are much larger if measured from the inside, than the space they occupy as measured from the outside? Your explanation please. Or you put it down as fantasies too?

The bookends of the two "perfect storms" mark the times between Gog 41 (in Madrid) and Gog 44. Perhaps the relection due to the storm surge of Sand-y served to complete the process, as evidenced by the spelling of the message:

41 (George), 42 (William), 43 (George)... 44 (Barak Obama)

George William George Barak Obama

As if they are all under the foreign surname of Obama. Or the spirit of Edom/Amalek.

Fellow "Erev Zeir" whatever you want to call me. I can see the writing on the wall. Life is going to change for the "worse" or "better" depending upon your mindset. Your predictions and interpretations are novice. You have too much of an ego know what will be. You read a pshat from the Zohar 'Kadosh and afterwards think you know the marching orders of the angels. What do we know? Gog v'Maggog is a terrible war. Economic collapse, War, Famine, etc.. is everywhere INCLUDING ERETZ ISRAEL. You think those gay pride parades and violation of shemittah in Haaretz will give you good mazel? Keep posting your fear tactics. We know what happens to Yerushalayim in the end of days! Terrible things happen just before! (if it is B'ito as you say). It will not bring you more mazel. Mazel is what you bring into the world NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. Hashem is everywhere and see's everything. Protection is not guaranteed to anyone. When Hashem is satisfied with the re-balancing then moshiach will come. Please encourage good deeds and mitzvot. The rest of your predictions are mishigas and cause more harm then good! Moving to Haaretz is not an answer unto itself! Grow as a human, and as a Jew. If your circumstances bring you to Haaretz, then good. But moving based upon a man's prediction is foolish at its best; idolotry at worse.

Oy tell me about telling Jews in golus to leave. The ones connected to emuna - mostly Hashem is starting to open their eyes through their connection to R' Arush.
For the others? We must pray. R' Arush said in his shiur last night that we must pray for all Jews to start praying! Moshe Rebeinu spent 60 years in the desert praying for the Jews to pray. Finally, they called out to Hashem - and THEN He answered with the Geula from Mitzrayim.
In the meantime, I say something and there is always someone quick to mention financial difficulties in EY, or why aren't the Gedolim telling us to leave, or Hashem can save us anywhere, or whatever. Of quoting people who sadly came to Israel, "couldn't make it" and left.
Hashem leads a person to see what they want to see. If all you see is gashmius, then you'll see plenty of reasons not to come to EY. I admit. I also felt this way until Hashem sent some real serious suffering my way, and FINALLY I sat on the floor, cried my eyes out, recognized that I didn't know what to do. I opened my eyes and realized that I was living a lie in CH"L, saying I was living for spirituality, while truly negating it for gashmius. Within four months Hashem made major miracles and lifted me up from the trash heap I was in, and into the sky - on a plane to Israel. My life here now is incredible BH KH.
I'm afraid to say it, but unfortunately suffering can often do what good times cannot. So Hashem is sadly sending it, hoping people like me who are still there will wake up.
If you want a fat, regular paycheck, you won't find it here in EY, where you must rely on Hashem. This is the land of emuna after all. But you CAN make it - with emuna!!! But I'm afraid the fat, regular paycheck you believe in so much as if it is supporting you, not Hashem, seems to be disappearing from CH"L also. So if you're going to be poor, where would you rather be? Much easier to be poor here, in fact - spirituality aside. People say Obamacare is socializing America just like Israel, but Im afraid America is going to lag way behind Israel in reality.

In the book "War and Peace" by HaRav Avraham Yitzhak HaCohen Kook, page 102/3, it says,

"This understanding stands in sharp opposition to a view which claims that the Mahsiach will bring the
Redemption n a miraculous fashion, and that our task is to wait 31. Rabbi Kook rejects this passivity. It is a distortion of Mashiach, blind to the developmental process of the Jewish people which unfolds stage after stage, in concrete human endeavor and, as we have learned, through war.

Note 31: See the Rambam's Letter of Forced Conversion, "However those who seduce themselves and say that they will stay in their places until the Moshiach comes to the lands of the West, and then they will depart and go forth to Jerusalem - I don't know how the decree of annihilation will be spared them. Rather, they are transgressors, and they cause others to sin..."

Not my words...

Thank you to London Male for the clarification.

Anonymous, I don't hold by Rabbi Kook. Those who do, are obviously doing the right thing in moving to Israel. They will already be there, we will arrive in the blink of an eye. Or our grandchildren will.

Other Anonymous: are you insinuating that Jews have not suffered enough? Besides, I am not quite sure why all the emphasis on emuna. There will be no emuna in the days of Moshiach, when everything is revealed. Is Moshiach not imminent, according to your opinion? After Moshiach is revealed, we will have very different challenges and opportunities from those we are having now.

Is it possible to obtain the name of a mainstream and widely respected Rabbi, someone who is alive and who accepts shailot, and who approves of this? So that we and our Rabbis may check with such a Gadol and if he will confirm that this is the proper path, we will do.

If I might throw in my tuppence worth, I am a strong believer in Aliyah.
But as one who did it, then had to go back to the Golut, I can say one piece of advice.
Get an employment plan together before you go. Make sure that you have a skill that is needed in Israel. Technical writing, digital marketing, computer programming...these are all in demand.

What I say next may go against some religious strands of thought, but I counsel against just turning up in Israel and hoping something will work out.

Amass as much cash as possible, as employment might take a year to find.

You will need to also know that coming from an Anglo country you will take anything between 18 months - six years to be fluent in Hebrew; you will not walk out of an initial five month Ulpan with Hebrew that is good enough for most jobs.

The answer to the previous question is NO!. These are Lubavitchers who lived here in Kiryat Malachi. None of these three people individually believed in a magic carper ride. They were tzaddikim. And I don't pretend to understand G-d' ways. It is a horror beyond belief that a woman who is a shlichah to India (New Delhi) is murdered on the Yahrzeit of the Holtzbergs who were in Mumbai during the famous Mumbai terrorist attack. And it happened to be their Yahrzeits. babies bleeding.

There have been missiles for years, and a few people were injured here in there. Suddenly there is carnage. And suddenly Bibi and Barak react. I was in too much pain to write anything last night. I pray that no one else, on our side, is killed or murdered. And that if missiles are launched they are intercepted over Tel Aviv. If the people on Sheinkin Street spend enough times in bomb shelters, the insanity of hating settlers in order to get the world to love them will come to an end. And if it be necessary that homes be destroyed without injuries, it only happens to the homes of the Erev Rav. Those who voted for Kadima, Labor, and Meretz in 2006 and 2009 to destroy the homes of others in order to be popular amongst other leftists in the world, have placed their home at risk by the Hand of G-d, measure for measure. But may all survive all of this with no more Jewish blood spilled.

More air raid sirens in Tel Aviv. I pray that no one gets hurt. But I am sorry to say this, but this is the only way to end the insanity of Erev Rav rule here without massive destruction and death. The Left conceptually is now dead....forever. All the sycophantic attempts to get the world to love them by spitting on the settlers is now dead. The Erev Rav is losing all their power. I pray that only Reshayim are killed from now on, the ones who work actively to serve their avodah zarah of world public opinion and personal popularity, but it would be best if this happens with only destruction of their property. We will let the earthly courts of Mashiach ben Yosef prosecute them for treason against Klal Yisrael. That would be the greatest Kiddush HaShem of all.

It seems to me you always said that being in Eretz Israel protects jews, even when their observance is imperfect (who is perfect?) Now it appears instead, correct me if I misunderstand, that you suggest that moving to Israel, or even being born there, for the not-so-perfect jews, entails some sort of suffering and punishment, to the point of losing (G-d forbid) all their possessions. Does coming to Israel bring blessings, prosperity, protection and happiness to anyone, or only to those who deserve it? If it is the latter, perhaps people should think twice before presuming worthy of making aliyah in the current situation and succeeding, thanks to miracles and against all odds.

Is not our nation 9/10th Erev Rav coming out of Mitzrym? They were mitzrym who came out for many reasons from greed to desire to love for Hashem with the Benei Yisrael, they were elevated to the status of a Yisrael at Har Sinai. While there is the spiritual enemy Erev Rav what of the large % who rented or leased land in Israel after every Yovel not being members of any of the 12 shvatim?
The only answer against this was that the erev rav all died without descendants in the midbar.
The problem Erev rav would then have become like Amalek a nation without bodies(after the war with Agag).
This is all based on my recall please correct any errors.
